Hi, I'm Julia, an artist and creative person from Heidelberg, Germany. I've been drawing since I was a child, but after school pursued other interests and career paths. I eventually realised I was missing something in my life, and in my free time I began writing, drawing comics and painting watercolours.
I had a small Wacom tablet bought from pocket money when I was in school. The tablet didn't work so well, and I was discouraged from pursuing art, but my fascination with digital art never really went away. In 2017, I finally took the plunge and bought a new tablet, to give it another shot. I began livestreaming my efforts to learn drawing digitally to hold myself accountable. In 2022, I made my art my main job.
Since then, I have been teaching myself better anatomy and navigating the internet landscape as a small creator. I have also been working on commissions and am in the process of creating a new comic book.
Outside of work, I am helping to raise a small human, overanalyze books and play lots of Dungeons & Dragons and video games.

I have done most of my commissioned work for various pen & paper roleplaying communities. Most recently, I created twitch emotes and animated emotes for Orkenspalter TV and helped build the twitch layout for streamer derrwalker. The biggest commission I have done so far is the "Wimmelbild" for Orkenspalter TV with over 60 character from their pen & paper livestreams and videos. You can watch the timelapse here.
I've done graphic design and illustration work for various companies as well as the city of Mannheim, Germany. I have experience in layouting and vector graphics and used to sell prints in an online shop. Before freelancing, I worked in marketing and web design and used that experience to build this website, and have also done website work for freelancing clients in the past. Before all this creative stuff, I received an MA in English Literature and have directed some plays at Uni.
